Among the perfect overall pass rate, a huge 65% of all A-level results were at A*-B grades!

On Wednesday this week, students from our first two Gold Award cohorts were welcomed to Buckingham Palace for a special reception recognising  their achievements and the tremendous effort required to complete the prestigious award. Held in the stunning palace gardens, the Gold Award Celebration was a wonderfully formal occasion, filled with all the grandeur and ceremony expected of a Royal occasion.

Reaching Gold represents commitment, resilience and determination, and to celebrate this accomplishment with a reception at Buckingham Palace was a fitting reward for all the hard work and dedication shown along the way and a truly memorable finale for our students.

Those invited were welcomed with tea and cakes before enjoying speeches from HRH Edward, The Duke of Edinburgh, alongside inspiring words from amputee and racing driver Billy Monger and Ella-Mae Rayner (also known as Comet from Gladiators), among others.

We welcome prospective Year 12 students to our Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday 6 November from 6.00 to 8.00pm.

This is a great opportunity to meet teachers, discover our rich curriculum and fantastic subjects and gain an insight into the Sixth Form experience we offer.

On Friday 26 September 2025, the whole school came together to take part in our annual Race for Life charity event in support of Cancer Research. In the lead-up to the day, tutor time sessions helped students learn more about cancer, its treatments, and the importance of fundraising in the fight against it.

The event itself was a brilliant showcase of community spirit. Students from Years 7–13 walked or ran laps around the school fields, aiming to complete as many circuits as possible within the hour. Everyone joined in the spirit of the occasion by wearing pink—whether it was socks, headbands, tutus or even face paint—creating a vibrant and uplifting atmosphere. Staff lined the course to cheer students on, with many also running alongside them.

Donations were collected both through sponsorships and individual contributions, with some students managing to complete more than five laps. The enthusiasm, energy and determination on display were inspiring, and it was fantastic to see the whole school working together towards such an important cause.

We are delighted to announce that, thanks to the generosity of our students, staff and wider community, we raised an incredible £2647 for Cancer Research. A huge thank you to everyone who took part and supported this event—you truly made a difference!

North Leamington School are delighted to celebrate with Year 13 students as they achieved truly outstanding A Level and BTEC results!

This year’s impressive results include an overall pass rate of 99% whilst, 65% of all A Level grades achieved were A*-B.

Mike Lowdell (Headteacher) paid testimony to all involved: "Whatever the destination, we know that the concerted efforts of all will mean that these students will be well-equipped to be a success in their next step. As always we are so proud of our students' efforts, we wish them all the luck in their future endeavours.

NLS will have representation at both Oxford and Cambridge universities in 2025 and the whole community extends its congratulations to Luke and Oliver! A number of students are taking up prestigious apprenticeships with local and national employers while the vast majority of students have successfully secured their preferred university choices. NLS students are set to embark on a diverse range of degree courses in subjects as varied as Psychology, Midwifery, Textile Design, History, Biomedical Science, Maths, Law, Philosophy, Zoology. All of this and more will be undertaken at more local organisations (e.g. Warwick, Coventry) or more further afield (e.g. Cardiff, Durham, Exeter, York).

We recently had a terrific Future Pathways Launch Event for our current Y12.

The purpose of this event was to equip students with better understanding as to what is available to them post-18. This can be crucial in terms of information, advice and guidance (I.A.G.) but also in terms of raising aspirations and incentivising. While the launch is steered towards UCAS and university applications (because that is what the vast majority of our students choose to go on to do), we recognise that this route is not the only Future Pathway. So, we offer I.A.G. on:

• University and UCAS
• Apprenticeships and Degree Apprenticeships
• Employment – including the uniformed and armed services
• Gap years
