Family Support Worker
Permanent Contract
Full time, 37 Hours per Week
Daily Working Pattern of 8:15am to 4:15pm (Monday to Thursday) and 8:15am to 3:45pm (Friday) (or Part time considered for the right candidate)
Term-Time Only plus 2 Weeks (40 weeks)
Salary Band H, Points 14-17 (Starting on point 14) – Actual salary starting at £27,367 per annum

This role supports an impactful, high quality, Family Support Team aiming to improve outcomes for families and young people by alleviating barriers to learning.
You will work within effective and inclusive structures, processes and practice in supporting families and students, enabling academic, personal, social and healthy development of referred students.
Working within the wider IEN (Individual Educational Needs) team and under the direction of the Family Support Team Lead, you will have a positive impact on families and young people.
You will be a point of reference for professionals for relevant information and advice on issues affecting families.
Your role will liaise between home and school regarding a whole range of challenges. As we grow as a multi-academy trust, you will work collaboratively with our Primary School partners.
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Think this role will suit your skills, knowledge and experience and you have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to both adults and children
- Have an understanding of young people and education and working with partner agencies/support organisations
- Have a good working knowledge of common ICT applications, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and be able to present information effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Are educated to minimum GCSE level and hold a full UK driving license.
- Hold key attributes for this role, such as being open-minded, and able to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity.
