Students have enjoyed a wide range of sports during this term in lessons and through the extra curricular programme with many opportunities to represent NLS in competitions.
Our core PE curriculum has included rounders, cricket, tennis, athletics and softball and through our extra-curricular opportunities students have been able to participate in these sports and additionally volleyball, tennis and cheerleading.  We have enjoyed fixtures in athletics, tennis and cricket this half term also. We would like to thank all the students who have participated in our extra-curricular programme throughout the year and say well done to those that have represented the school in fixtures against other local schools, contributing to the fantastic array of successes students have enjoyed.

We are delighted to share a number of excellent achievements by our students this summer through fixtures and competitions with local schools and in county and national events.

We look forward to entering the tournament again next year.

Sports Day
On Wednesday 19 July the school community came together to enjoy Sports Day.  Morning events included dodgeball, football, netball, tennis, rounders and athletics events. During the morning students, working in teams, displayed good strategies and tactical awareness when aiming to beat their opponents.  As we progressed to the afternoon we witnessed breathtaking sprint events and incredible strength in the tug of war.

Our students demonstrated great sportsmanship and enthusiasm and the cheers and support from those spectating the events helped to create a fantastic atmosphere, reinforcing that sports day is not just about physical ability but also growth, learning and personal achievement.

Congratulations to Mr Butler and Blackdown college on your well-deserved victory
