Year 9 & 12 Visit Poland

Students from Years 9 and 12 recently returned from a highly successful and enriching educational visit to Poland which provided an invaluable  opportunity to deepen their understanding of history, culture, and heritage beyond the classroom.

The trip began in the beautiful city of Kraków, where students explored the historic Wawel Castle and Cathedral, gaining valuable insights into Poland’s rich past and national identity. A visit to the remarkable Wieliczka Salt Mines offered a fascinating glimpse into one of the country’s most treasured landmarks, showcasing centuries of craftsmanship and tradition.

A particularly significant part of the visit was the day spent at Auschwitz-Birkenau. This moving and thought-provoking experience enabled students to reflect on one of the most important chapters of modern history. Throughout the visit, our students conducted themselves with exceptional maturity, respect, and sensitivity, demonstrating a deep appreciation for the significance of the site.

Students embodied the school’s core values and commitment to excellence throughout the trip. With their positive attitudes, engagement, and exemplary behaviour they have been outstanding ambassadors for the school.

The trip was both educational and inspiring, creating lasting memories and providing valuable experiences that will continue to support students’ learning and personal development for years to come.
