Year 7 enjoy their first residential opportunity at Whitemoor Lakes
Year 7 students enjoyed a weekend residential at Whitemoor Lakes Activity Centre during the weekend of March 7.
There were three days of adventurous activities including assault courses, team games, the zip wire, and campfires. Each activity session was designed to build confidence, communication, teamwork, leadership, and certainly pushed students out of their comfort zones. It was lovely to see the Year 7 students growing in confidence and as a team. The way the students encouraged each other to challenge themselves was fantastic to see.
The sun shone for us and the students spent almost the whole weekend outside, including some impromptu games of football.
The students' behaviour throughout the weekend was outstanding and they all showed great emotional resilience to tackle the range of activities and to manage the tiredness that ensued.
The Year 7s will reap the benefits of their teambuilding for years to come.
