Year 7 enjoy the Birmingham Botanical Gardens

Year 7 had a brilliant time exploring the Birmingham Botanical Gardens last week, with students attending over three days in their Tutor Groups.

The visits provided a fantastic opportunity for students to learn about the natural world while also building relationships within their Tutor Groups.

As an International School, we are committed to providing opportunities for all our students to experience the world in different ways, and the visit certainly gave Year 7 the chance to discover some fascinating environments and wildlife.

Students had the opportunity to handle a range of exotic animals and insects, with many facing their fears to hold bearded dragons, corn snakes and giant snails, among other animals and insects. They learnt about the special adaptations these animals have developed and the habitats in which they live.

Students also explored the glass houses, collecting clues to discover more about rainforest plants and environments, before having time to explore the beautiful gardens themselves. The park was also a popular part of the visit!

Throughout the three days, our students were superb ambassadors for the school. They were enthusiastic and fully engaged in the sessions, asking excellent questions and showing a real curiosity about the world around them.

Well done, Year 7!
