Supporting Young Minds participating in Hello Yellow Day on Friday 10 October

On Friday 10 October, World Mental Health Day,  we supported Hello Yellow to fundraise for YoungMinds, a mental health charity for young people.

Students were invited to wear a yellow accessory alongside their usual NLS uniform to raise awareness and funds for this important cause.

In addition, we held a cake sale during break time, and students could either bake or donate cakes for the event.

We added a donation option to our ParentPay page, and we appreciate any contributions that parents and carers are able to make. Sixth Form students will be able to pay on the day by card in the Sixth Form areas.

We are delighted to have raised £860.

As part of our focus on World Mental Health Day, students will receive guidance on how to support their own mental wellbeing and will be reminded of the resources and support available to them within the school.

For further information, please visit the Mental Health section on our website.

Additionally, YoungMinds provides valuable resources for parents and carers who may be concerned about a young person’s mental health. These can be accessed via their website at YoungMinds Website Parent Information
