Specialist Resource Provision Lead Teacher

MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (depending on experience). This role would not be suitable for recently qualified teachers.
1.0FTE
Permanent Contract
Required for September 2026

Elm Tree Multi Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an experienced and passionate teacher for our new Specialist Resource Provision (SRP), opening at North Leamington School in September 2026. The SRP Teacher will lead this provision and shape its development from the outset.

This is a unique opportunity to build upon the school’s strong inclusive ethos through the development of a new 20-place Resource Provision for students with a primary need of communication and interaction. As part of a significant capital project, this provision will benefit from purpose-built, specialist facilities, including dedicated classrooms, therapy spaces, and meeting areas. Thoughtfully integrated within our existing inclusion provision, the setting will also be located adjacent to our orchard, offering an exceptional outdoor learning environment. This role presents an exciting chance to shape and deliver outstanding provision within a forward-thinking and well-resourced school community.

You will provide high quality teaching, learning, and pastoral support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) – specifically those with communication and interaction needs. You will deliver an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports pupils’ academic progress, communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing, while promoting inclusion across the school.

This is a key role within our wider Inclusion Team, offering the opportunity to work closely with the SENDCo and other specialist practitioners. It would suit someone who has a strong sense of purpose, a positive attitude, and a genuine commitment to supporting pupils to achieve their full potential – whatever their individual needs.

North Leamington School (NLS), a part of the Elm Tree Multi Academy Trust, is a fantastic place to work. Working with us will provide excellent opportunities to develop as a specialist teacher within a high-achieving, inclusive and supportive learning community.

We are an oversubscribed school with an expanding Sixth Form and have sustained continuous improvement in order to secure fantastic outcomes for all of our students.  We are defined by our core values of Commitment, Opportunity, Respect and Excellence (CORE) for all and in all that we do.

North Leamington School has a strong team spirit and a passion for creating an inclusive learning environment, which enables all students to exceed expectations. All staff and students are valued highly. Emphasis on staff wellbeing is an integral part of our ethos, offering several supportive schemes whilst providing an outstanding working environment.

What we are looking for:
  • A highly effective, experienced and dedicated practitioner who is able to bring a creative and caring approach to supporting pupils with specific additional needs
  • The drive to develop professionally as a practitioner and a willingness to contribute positively to the development of this new provision over time
  • A good team player and high performer, who will contribute fully to the department and the wider school
What we offer:
  • A fantastic modern school environment with a strong team culture
  • A purpose-built SRP, due to be completed on site by Sept. 2027
  • A very generous pension scheme and access to a range of health and wellbeing services
  • A first-class commitment to developing individuals through personalised CPD programmes
  • An easily accessible location with plentiful onsite parking
