The procedure for admissions is determined by the year group of entry and is defined as follows:
Year 6 Transition to Year 7 at North Leamington School
If your child is in Year 6, then you have until 31 October to submit your application for their secondary school place. There’s a range of useful information on the Warwickshire County Council website to help you apply, including a list of all local schools, a priority area map and a handy video to help you make realistic choices of schools. Applications for transition from Year 6 into Year 7 (the move from Primary to Secondary school) are administered by Warwickshire Admissions: further information about this should be provided by your child’s Primary School. Our main school Open Evening for Year 7 September 2024 entry took place on Wednesday 27 September 2023.
Year 7 Entry (after Term 1) to Year 11
From September 2018, North Leamington School became its own Admissions Authority (previously this was carried out by Warwickshire County Council on behalf of the school).
For entry into North Leamington School, beyond the first term of Year 7 (Autumn Term ending with the Christmas break), applying for a place should be made directly to the school. This can be done by completing the application form.
Parents / Carers can download the Year 7-11 Application form and email it to admissions@northleamington.co.uk or you can collect a hard copy from our school Reception and return to us by hand.
Sixth Form
Please visit the Sixth Form Area of the school website for information and an application form to join our Sixth Form.
Our Sixth Form Open Evening for September 2024 entry will take place on Thursday 9 November 2023 - more details will be released nearer the date.
School Transport
You are generally entitled to free transport for your child if you live over 3 miles from the school but are within the North Leamington School Preference Area. If your child is not entitled to free transport, the vacant seats scheme allows them to travel on certain Warwickshire County Council services after all entitled travellers have been allocated.
