Safeline Parents' Workshops

Safeline, a registered charity that supports young people, are delivering parent workshops based around 3 topics that could affect your child/ren, these being:- 

  • Internet Safety
  • Mental Health 
  • Bullying   

These one hour workshops will provide an insight and advice on how to keep your young person safe.  They will be delivered remotely on Zoom. 

The dates of the workshops will take place once a week on:- 

  • Monday 21 February 2022 between 5:00pm and 6:00pm.

This session is based on Internet Safety which includes the following outcomes: Providing knowledge around social media apps/websites, offering an understanding around online grooming - the risks and dangers, provide a deeper understanding of Cyberbullying and how to respond to it and understanding the risks behind Online Gaming

  • Monday 28 February 2022 between 5:00pm and 6:00pm.  

This session will be about Mental Health and Welfare issues, which will provide an understanding of what Mental Health is, allow you to gain a better knowledge of what can affect children’s mental health, how to best support children if they are suffering with Mental Health Issues and any useful apps/websites that you can use to help.

  • Monday 7 March 2022 between 5:00pm and 6:00pm.

This session will highlight important topics such as Bullying, other abuse and Good Citizenship. The session discusses how Safeline educates children on what it means to be a good citizen, an ethical bystander and how to promote diversity.

We will then pass on your details to Safeline so they can judge the demand, plan the delivery for the workshops and let you know if you have a place on the workshop.
